2013 Equinox Seat Height... Any Adjustments Possible?

I recently bought a used 2013 Equinox, but the seat height just doesn’t work for me. I’m around 5’2 and it’s tough to see clearly while driving. My last vehicle was a minivan, and it was so much easier to see around. This has been a big change for me.

Is there a way to adjust the seat beyond the standard controls? I was thinking that worst-case scenario, I could use spacers under the driver’s seat. Just wanted to see if anyone has any tips or suggestions on this. If spacers are the only option, what would you recommend?

Have you checked if the seat has any height adjustments that might be hidden? Sometimes there’s an extra lever or feature.

I looked but didn’t find anything else. I’ll check again just in case. If it really is just spacers, do you think that’s safe?

@Cai
If done properly, it can be safe. Just make sure the spacers are sturdy and securely installed.

That makes sense. Any specific materials you’d recommend for the spacers?

Wood or metal blocks can work, but you should ensure they’re thick enough to support the seat without bending. Just be cautious about how high you go.

Another option could be to get seat cushions that provide extra height. They can make a big difference without modifying the seat itself.

That sounds like a good idea! Are there specific cushions you recommend?

@Cai
Look for ones designed for car seats. They provide better support and can raise your height a bit more comfortably.
