My boss has a 2018 Suburban with a few issues: the temperature gauge doesn’t rise, the radiator fans keep running constantly, and the coolant doesn’t heat up. She’s convinced it’s the temperature sensor, but I suspect the thermostat might be stuck open. The check engine light is on, but I haven’t had a chance to scan it yet.

Could be a stuck thermostat preventing coolant from reaching the temp sensor. If the coolant is not warming then you may not have any circulation. Bad for the engine

I Am going to replace the thermostat and temperature sensor and bleed the system.
Rad is full so I don’t think it has air bubbles.

Also, be sure the lower radiator hose is not collapsing when the engine is running
Seemed like it was just thermostat. Rad fans are no longer spinning as fast as they were before, temp gauge is coming up and heat is blowing out the vents now. Just in the process of bleeding the system.
