2024 Traverse, what is the realistic availability?

Hi everyone, The “new” 2024 Traverse Limited, which is the old model, has been the subject of a few articles lately. While Chevy marketing people claim that the genuinely new model will be available “early” in 2024, this does not seem likely (or if it is, supply will be extremely limited, with markups that would rival those of Kia last year - $10k or more…).

So, is general availability truly scheduled for September or October of 2024, or is it even later?

2024 Traverse Limited: This model is essentially a continuation of the previous generation Traverse with few updates. Production commenced in January 2024, and it is expected to be available around June 2024 or shortly thereafter.

All-New 2024 Traverse: This version features a redesign including a new engine and interior. Initially targeted for an “early 2024” release by Chevrolet, it appears to have faced delays.

Current Status:

  • There is no official confirmation regarding the availability of the new Traverse. Speculation points to a potential release in September-October 2024, though delays are possible.
  • Supply chain challenges, similar to those affecting many automakers, may be contributing to these delays.

The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is a completely redesigned mid-size SUV and should be available at dealerships now given that its production started in February 2024.
