I have tentative deals for a Trax Activ in yellow and a 2024 Trailblazer LT in blue. I like both of them but I’m confused about which one to go with. If you ignore the price difference, which one would you recommend and why? I don’t need a car for racing or going up and down hills. I just need a daily driver. Appreciate all responses.
I’d go with the Trailblazer. I had a 2022 and absolutely loved it. I did have issues with the engine; it randomly blew, but aside from that, it drove great and was the perfect size. It fit my two kids and three pugs with no issue. It’s also a bit higher off the ground than the Trax, which was nice. I traded the Trailblazer for a 2024 Trax Activ and it was the worst decision I could’ve made. I owned it for 9 months and it spent the majority of that time at the dealership. Every time I would get it back, a new problem would arise. It started with infotainment issues and eventually moved on to stalling and shutting down in the middle of the road. Not all of them have these issues, but from my experience, I would stay away.
You should discuss this with your salesman. They can help you make a well-informed decision. What’s got you confused and hesitant to make a decision?
The Trax looks nicer but it doesn’t have AWD, which might be something to consider depending on your driving needs.
Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I’m leaning towards the Trailblazer because of the space and height. The issues with the Trax are definitely concerning.
