Well, I’ve had my car for a little over 2 months and an orange check engine light just turned on. Yay… What could it mean? I’ve checked the Chevy app and the vehicle maintenance doesn’t detect anything.

What did they say when you brought it to the dealership?
The dealership can’t see me until Friday, which is annoying.
Do you subscribe to OnStar? They can run a check for codes remotely.

I called OnStar, and they said they didn’t detect anything either.
If the app isn’t detecting anything and the vehicle doesn’t sound or run any differently, then it’s likely something very minor.

Sometimes it could just be a loose gas cap or something similar. Have you checked that?
I haven’t checked that yet. I’ll look into it.
It could also be a sensor issue. Those can be tricky sometimes, but usually not a big deal.

Good to know. I hope it’s nothing serious.
