2025 Equinox Sound... any ideas?

Hey folks, I saw another post about a similar issue, but mine’s a bit different. The sound quality itself isn’t the best, but this is more about the volume. When I first got the car, the sound was fine for a couple of days, but then the volume became really low. The highest it goes is acceptable, but it feels like the lowest I would want it is literally turned all the way up. After about a month, it fixed itself, and it was working fine like a normal car, where turning it all the way up would make it ridiculously loud. Now yesterday, it went back to being soft again. I know I accidentally grazed my finger on the screen, but I’m not sure if I hit a setting or something. I can’t find anything, and it’s driving me crazy. Any ideas?

If your phone is plugged in, try adjusting the volume on your phone. Sometimes the car connects to the phone’s volume settings.

Oh, I didn’t think of that. I’ll give it a shot. Thanks!

Have you checked if there’s any ‘volume limit’ setting in your car’s audio settings? Sometimes those can get enabled by accident.

I’ll look for that. I just want the volume to be normal again.

Maybe try resetting the audio system? Sometimes a quick reset can fix weird glitches like that.

How do I reset the audio system? I’m not very tech-savvy.

Usually, there’s an option in the settings menu. Just look for something like ‘factory reset’ or ‘restore settings.’ Just be careful, it might reset other preferences too.

If none of those work, it could be worth taking it to the dealer or a mechanic. There might be a software update or a deeper issue.

That might be my last resort. I hope it doesn’t come to that, but I’ll keep it in mind. Thanks!
