Which is better comfort, performance, maintenance, insurance, and gas-wise?
Strange comparison. There are two different generations, a wide range of technologies, and the prices are not comparable. Why not a 6th-generation ZL1? The engine is the same as the C7Z, but there is greater inside space, and one could argue that it is more comfortable. C7Z would have a more functional trunk and improved visibility. If you compare it to a C7Z, the 5th generation ZL1 is something you must have.
I love the look of the 5th Gen ZL1 over the 6th Gen. In addition, the price difference between the fifth and sixth generations of the ZL1 is $20,000. In addition, the C7Z costs more than $30,000 more than the 5th Generation ZL1.
If money is a concern, go with the fifth generation. The fundamental question is, what are your aims with the car? How are you going to use it? Weekend fun car? Is track only a toy? Build it to generate a lot of power and move quickly in a straight line? Daily driver?
If I were to get one, it would most likely be a secondary car. I’d have a daily driver, but I’d mostly utilize it when I wanted to drive. So, going to parties, dates, and work (on sometimes).
The 5th generation is a more than capable vehicle that will beyond any doubt bring a grin on your face. Have you ever driven a car with such much power? If feasible, test drive both automobiles to see which you prefer, and then proceed from there.
I drove my friend’s M440i xDrive, which has 382 horsepower and is not quite as fast, but it comes close. I will test-drive them to determine which one suits me best. Thanks for your suggestions.
