90s Chevy Camaro

Considering that they are two entirely different vehicles, I’m contemplating selling my 2005 Chevy Tahoe Z71 and getting a late 80s to early 90s Chevy Camaro for my daily driver. What does everyone think about this idea?

Personally, I don’t have a preference about what you choose to do.

You do what works for you, but there’s a reason you don’t see many of them on the road these days.

It really depends on your needs. I need the space and utility, and my Tahoe is just too comfortable to part with. A sports car wouldn’t be practical for me at all.

I’ve had my fair share of V8 third-gen cars, and they’re really easy to work on and fun to drive. I also owned a 2018 Camaro with a V6, and honestly, the newer V6 models can outperform most third gens. If your Tahoe is in good condition, you could likely find a fifth-gen Camaro for a trade that’s pretty close to even. Personally, I’d go that route. But if you really want a third-gen, I’d suggest keeping your Tahoe and saving up for one instead. It would make for a great project or weekend car.

I’ve wanted a third-gen since I was a kid, and now I’m 42. I really like that body style, even if other generations perform better.
