Another of my new Chevy designs - the Tahoe! She's grown over the years... Are you a fan of the old or the new?

Hey r/Chevy! I’ve been working on some new designs for Chevy, and the Tahoe has definitely grown over the years. It’s crazy to see how much it’s changed! I’m curious, are you more into the classic old-school Tahoe or do you love the new, bigger design? Personally, I’m torn—there’s something timeless about the older models, but the new ones are packed with tech and features. What do you guys think? Old or new Tahoe? Let’s hear your thoughts.

The in-between ones are my favorite. I love my 2006 Tahoe!

Same! The mid-2000s models had the perfect mix of modern features without losing that rugged vibe. How’s your 2006 holding up?

@Taylor
Honestly, it’s been a beast! Over 200k miles and still going strong. Just regular maintenance. I’m definitely a fan of these models.

That’s awesome! Mine’s at 180k miles, and I’m hoping it lasts me another 10 years. Nothing beats that era of Tahoes!

I prefer the older ones. If they could make a new Tahoe with all the safety features but keep the 1990s look, I’d be sold. We have a 1996 two-door Tahoe and it’s still going strong!

Long live the two-door Tahoe!!! :raised_hands:

@Tallis
Exactly! There’s just something about that compact, rugged look. Feels like a tank compared to the newer ones.

Right? I miss the days when SUVs were built like that—just pure utility. It’s hard to find that same toughness now.

@Kiran
Agreed! It’s all about luxury and tech now. Not that I mind some of the tech, but it’s not the same as that old-school feel.

I’m all about the new models. I get that the old ones have charm, but the features and tech in the new Tahoes make them unbeatable for me. Plus, the size is perfect for road trips with the family.

I hear you! The space and tech in the newer models are game-changers. I love having all the safety features, especially for long drives.

@Zya
Exactly! And the ride is so much smoother than the older models. I used to have a 2003 Tahoe, and while I loved it, the new one just feels like a whole different class.

Same here! The comfort level is on another planet. I mean, I miss the nostalgia of the older ones, but I’m all for the upgrade.

Anyone else think the new ones are too big? I like a roomy SUV, but they’re starting to feel like tanks. I miss the more compact size of the older Tahoes.

Totally agree! The older ones had the perfect balance between size and functionality. I get that people like more space, but it feels like overkill now.

@Teal
Right? I take mine off-roading a lot, and the older models were way more nimble. The newer ones are great for comfort but a bit unwieldy off-road.

That’s exactly it. If you’re mainly using it for the city or highway, it’s fine, but for off-road, I miss the older design.
