Hi all, I’m really close to finalizing a deal for a 2025 Equinox LT. A friend of mine mentioned he’s been seeing a lot of electric issues with them. IDK if I should be worried or not. Has anyone else had any issues with their 2025? Thanks for any input!
I have an Activ and no issues so far. Make your friend cite his sources. It’s super easy to say ‘I’ve been seeing a lot of issues’ when they might have just seen one post. Plus, it’s a brand new vehicle, so even if something comes up, your warranty would cover it.
@West
Thank you!!! I appreciate the feedback. Buying a car is super stressful with all the negotiating. I’m coming from a Toyota, which are known for their reliability, so hearing that kinda had me bugged out. But I’m excited to bring home the new car!
@Wren
Yeah, exactly. No matter what car you get, there will always be naysayers. Some folks have good luck, while others don’t. That’s why warranties exist. The tech in modern cars can be a bit nerve-wracking, but it’s just part of the deal now, I guess. Enjoy the ride, I really am so far. That radio is gonna take some getting used to lol.
Seems like there are quite a few bulletins regarding the electrical system. Not sure how this compares to other new vehicles, but just FYI, a TSB doesn’t necessarily mean something bad is going to happen with your car.
@Wei
What do you mean by TSB? I’m not familiar with that term.

Oh, TSB stands for Technical Service Bulletin. It’s basically a notice from the manufacturer about potential issues or fixes. Not always a cause for concern.
I have a 2023 Equinox Premier and was kind of bummed that Chevy got rid of the premier trim for the 2025 model. I guess they’re focusing more on the luxury segment with the Terrain Denali now.

Yeah, it’s interesting how they change things up each year. I liked the Premier trim as well. Hopefully, the new models will still have some good features.
