I dented my car pretty bad back in 2023 after trying to squeeze past a car that was in the middle of a one-way residential street with its hazards on and no driver. I left my info on the car windshield, but they never reached out (I took most of the damage, so maybe that’s why). This is a 2018 Chevy Sonic LT. What is my cheapest option for fixing this damage? The paint isn’t that bad, but the door and dent sealing is the issue. My insurance covers damage if I pay $1k, but I’m not sure if that’s the best option since I’m at fault and the other party never contacted me. How much would it cost to go through a third party? Or what’s the cheapest section of the damage I can get fixed to make it look a tad better?

If the dent isn’t too bad, you might try a DIY dent removal kit. They’re pretty affordable.
You could also check local body shops for quotes. Sometimes they have specials that can save you money.
