I have a Chevrolet Beat 2014 model diesel car. Lately, I’ve been experiencing an issue where when I drive and shift to 3rd or 4th gear and put full acceleration, the car suddenly cuts off acceleration. I can’t get full acceleration, and it just moves slowly, like 15-20 km/h. When this happens, I turn off the car and restart it while holding the clutch in the middle of driving, and then it works fine again. But as soon as the RPM increases, it cuts the acceleration again. I’m really not sure what could be causing this issue.
That sounds frustrating. Have you checked if there’s a check engine light on? It could be a sign of an issue.
It might also be worth checking your fuel filter. Sometimes if that gets clogged, it can cause problems with acceleration.
Sounds like it could be an issue with the fuel delivery or maybe even the turbo if you have one. It might be good to have it checked out.
Have you tried checking the air filter too? Sometimes a dirty air filter can affect acceleration.
If it keeps happening, you might want to take it to a mechanic. They can run diagnostics to find out what’s going on.
