Hello guys, I’m looking at two trucks at a local dealership tomorrow. One is a 2017 Colorado Z71 priced at $26k with 69,XXX miles. The other is a 2016 Canyon SLE for $24k with 76,XXX miles. Both are all black, have Apple CarPlay, and are pretty similar overall. The Canyon has a 6-speed transmission, while the Colorado has an 8-speed. I’m wondering if there are any advantages to one over the other, and if there’s anything specific I should check on them. Thanks.
I think the Colorado would have an upgraded suspension, which might make a difference if you plan on doing any off-roading or towing.

That’s good to know. I might be doing some light off-roading, so the suspension could be a factor for me.
Also, the Colorado is known for having a bit better resale value. If you ever want to sell it later, that could be something to consider.

Yeah, that makes sense. I’d like to keep the resale value in mind. Did you hear anything about maintenance costs between the two?
@Freeman
Not much, but generally, they’re pretty similar. Just make sure to check the service history for either one.
If you can, take both for a test drive. Sometimes the feel of the truck can really help you decide. You might prefer how one drives over the other.

Definitely going to do that. I want to see how they handle before making a choice.

Check for any signs of wear or damage, especially in the interior and under the hood. Make sure everything looks good and that there are no leaks.
Good point. I’ll make sure to look closely at both of them. Any specific areas I should focus on?
Both sound like solid options. Just make sure you feel comfortable with whichever one you choose. You’ll be driving it around for a while.

Thanks, I appreciate all the advice. I’ll keep everyone updated on what I decide.
