Driver's front window won't go down

Good morning,

My wife’s Chevrolet Aveo window control stopped working. I first checked the fuses and replaced them, but it didn’t help. One day, when I touched the sheath between the door and the frame, the window started working again.

My question is:

Is this sheath difficult to remove? Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

Thank you for any advice you can provide.

It sounds like a wiring issue in the sheath between the door and frame. The sheath isn’t too hard to remove, just be careful when pulling it back to check for damaged or loose wires.

The issue you are describing with the sheath between the door and the frame is likely related to a wiring problem.

To remove the sheath, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the Door Panel: You must remove the door panel to access the wiring. This involves eliminating screws and carefully prying off the panel.
  2. Inspect the Wiring: Once the panel is off, you can inspect the wiring inside the sheath. Look for any visible damage or loose connections.
  3. Remove the Sheath: The sheath itself can usually be removed by gently pulling it away from the door frame. Be careful not to damage the wires inside.
