GM warranty “goodwill” offered?

Long story short, I’ve had an EV in the shop under warranty for going on 3 years now with no anticipated battery arrival date. My case manager at GM was out for a few months, and the replacement case manager mentioned they might be able to offer something of goodwill once the case is closed. However, when my original case manager returned, they knew nothing about that. Has anyone heard of this type of thing before?

I have received two ‘goodwill’ certificates over the years. You can usually use them on your next purchase, but I’m not sure if that’s the only option. I wouldn’t wait 3 years for my car; I’d have rolled back the deal long ago. Consider lemon law; time in the shop counts.

Unfortunately, lemon law doesn’t apply in my state for used vehicles. The dealership charges $40 a day for the loaner, so I’m okay putting miles on someone else’s car while they figure this out.

Did they give you a loaner? If it were me, I’d leave my car with the dealer for 3 years just to keep using their loaner indefinitely.

They can use the policy tool to get you service credits, extended warranties, or accessory credits. The service manager can do that in GlobalConnect without needing authorization from GM.

I heard there were issues getting replacement batteries for Sparks. Did you get a loaner?
