Hey everyone… had a minor accident and something fell off under the bumper… Can I drive 3 miles to get it fixed? What part is this?

So I just got into a little fender bender and this part under the bumper came loose. Not sure what it is… Is driving a few miles to the repair shop safe, or should I be worried? Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.

Looks like part of your air intake system, maybe the air box or mass air flow sensor got disconnected. I would check it out before your engine light gives you more trouble.

Thanks for the tip. Yeah, I checked online and it does seem like it’s the air box. The engine light is on, so I guess I will drive without the AC for now.

No worries, you can leave the AC on, it won’t affect that. The part just helps direct air into the engine. But keep an eye on your mass air flow sensor, it might get dirty or damaged if exposed for too long.

Just leave it off, it’s the resonator from your Cruze. It’s not electrical and only muffles the turbo sound. If it’s missing, you might hear the turbo a bit, but that’s about it. Enjoy the sound if you do!

Thanks a lot, that’s helpful!
