How can i add blue tooth to phone in a Chevy Malibu?

Hey comrades.

I’m struggling to add my phone to the Bluetooth in my Chevy Malibu. The car sees my phone, but pairing just won’t work. I’ve followed the manual but still no luck. Anyone else had this problem? Any fixes or tips? Maybe a reset or something I’m missing?

Thanks for any help…

Hello Brooklyn, Common Fixes:

  • Reset Bluetooth on Both Devices:
    • Turn off Bluetooth on your phone and car.
    • Wait a few minutes, then turn both back on and re-pair.
  • Delete and Re-pair:
    • Forget the device in your phone’s Bluetooth settings.
    • Delete the paired device from the car’s system.
    • Re-pair from scratch.
  • Check for Software Updates:
    • Ensure your phone and car infotainment system are up-to-date.
  • Reset Car’s Infotainment System:
    • Follow your car manual to reset the system.
  • Check for Interference:
    • Move away from Wi-Fi routers, microwaves, or other electronics that may interfere with Bluetooth.

Navigate to your phone’s Bluetooth settings and look for the name of your automobile there. Press it.
