I’m checking out a few used Bolts (from 2017 to 2020) this weekend at a local dealership. I’m wondering if there’s a dashboard app in these cars that shows battery health, not just the current charge level.
What should I be looking for in that app? And is there anything else I need to watch out for on a used Bolt? They’re all supposed to have had a battery replacement. Only one doesn’t have fast charging, which isn’t a dealbreaker since it’s mostly for city use.
Is it worth getting a Chevy dealer to inspect a used Bolt?
I’m curious about this too. I’ve been browsing used Bolts online, and I see 2023 1LT models going for as low as $12K with around 30K miles and clean Carfax. I don’t get why these are priced so low while EUV models of the same year are almost double.
@Luca
Yeah, that seems a little too low for 2023 Bolts. If it was an older model, maybe the advertised price is what it costs after applying the tax credit.
Not sure about an app, but you can check the GM recall portal online with the VIN. You can find out when the battery was last replaced and get other details.
