Is the 2010 Chevy Traverse reliable?

Hi, I wanted to know if anyone has had big problems with a 2010 Chevy Traverse LT? The dealership has one with new timing chain and A/C repairs done, and it has only driven 126,000 miles. Any thoughts or experiences would be really helpful.

Since the timing chain is the main problem with these, it should last for another 70–100K miles before breaking down again. At this time, the transmission would be the weak link. See how it feels after giving it a test drive; if it doesn’t feel right, walk away.

The primary concern with these vehicles is the timing chain, which should remain reliable for an additional 70,000 to 100,000 miles before potentially encountering issues again. At this stage, the transmission may become the most vulnerable component. It’s advisable to conduct a test drive to assess the vehicle’s performance; if the driving experience seems off, it’s best to consider other options.

The 2010 Traverse is praised for its spacious interior and comfortable seating for up to eight passengers, making it a good choice for families.

In 2018, My Father purchased a 2010 Chevy Traverse. 112k miles were on it. He has had to replace the engine twice since then. Overall, this automobile is excellent, however, the 2010 engines are incredibly erratic.

I also do not find the car that reliable, though it is great for large families
