I have an 07 Equinox A/T that blew a trans cooler line. I know I can replace the line, but where do I check and add fluid? I don’t see a dipstick anywhere and what fluid should I be putting in it? Any help would be really appreciated.
For adding fluid, you usually need to look for a fill plug on the transmission itself. It might be under the vehicle, so you may need to get underneath it.
IDK about the dipstick situation, but many newer models don’t have one. You might have to use a funnel to add fluid through the fill plug.

You should use Dexron VI fluid for your transmission. That’s what’s typically recommended for an 07 Equinox.
Thanks for the info on the fluid. I’ll make sure to grab that. Do you know if it’s easy to find at auto parts stores?
Also, after replacing the line, make sure to check for leaks. You wouldn’t want to end up in the same situation again.
Good luck with the repair. If you have more questions, feel free to ask. Everyone here is super helpful.
