Alrighty, so I’m going to say out the gate that I got a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 4WD that needs some work that’s going to be costly but nothing that I can’t afford. It’s my first vehicle that I saved up for. I’m wondering y’all’s opinions on the truck I got and what things I should be aware of mechanically and overall about the vehicle. I’m also curious if any of you have owned an older Chevy truck like mine and can recommend any specific tools I don’t already have. I have a socket set, screwdrivers, a hammer, some screws, and spare fuses that I got when the horn fuse blew, plus some other essentials like WD40 and such. Thanks in advance!
Congrats on the truck! I’ve had a 2001 Silverado and loved it. Just keep an eye on the transmission fluid and maybe get a good jack for future repairs.
