Hi guys,
I’m having an issue with my 2022 Chevrolet Captiva 2.7 and could use some advice. The check engine light won’t go off, even after replacing the ECU. The car won’t drive, and I’m stuck.
I bought the car in Dubai and imported it to Angola, but the local Chevrolet rep won’t service it since it wasn’t purchased through them. The dealer in Dubai is ignoring me.
Here’s what I’ve tried:
- Verified the ECU installation and checked for other issues at a workshop.
- Ran a full diagnostic with an updated OBD-II scanner.
- Checked for faulty sensors, wiring, and connectors.
- Suspected the ECU might need reprogramming, but I can’t find the right software.
My biggest challenge is finding the correct software to reprogram the ECU. The dealer in Dubai isn’t helping, and I’m not sure where to turn.
So, I’m asking:
- Where can I find the software needed to reprogram the ECU for a 2022 Chevrolet Captiva 2.7?
- Has anyone faced a similar issue with an imported vehicle? How did you solve it?
- Any recommendations for specialists who deal with ECU reprogramming for imports?
