Questions About Hard Shifting in My 2009 Silverado 1500

Hey all!

My husband and I recently bought a 2009 Silverado 1500 extended cab with 123,000 miles on it. Overall, the truck is in really nice shape, with just a few minor cosmetic issues that we can repair for a few hundred dollars. We traded in an old Honda we never used, which made the price of the truck $7,000—definitely felt like a steal!

However, we’ve just started experiencing a hard shift going from 1st to 2nd gear. It’s an automatic, 4-speed, and I’m worried that we might be facing a transmission issue.
