Looking for a female connector (seen upper left in first picture) to connect to the male connector (bottom right of first picture) to use the stock rear camera with an aftermarket CarPlay unit from Carpuride. The Carpuride accepts 2.5mm. I have an RCA to 2.5mm adapter but need something to pick up the signal from the camera wire here. Any recommendations?
Have you checked eBay or Amazon? They often have connectors for things like this. You might find a compatible female connector there.

I haven’t looked there yet. I will definitely give it a try. Sometimes it feels overwhelming with so many options, but I will focus on finding just the right one.

Yeah, it can be a bit much. Just make sure to read the reviews to ensure that the connector works with your setup.
You could also try a local auto parts store. Sometimes they carry random connectors and might have what you need. It could save you some shipping time too.

That sounds like a good plan. I will check out a couple of stores nearby. I prefer to see things in person when I can.
@Davin
Definitely, and you can ask the staff for help as well. They might have insights into what would work best for your application.
I had a similar issue in the past. I used a generic connector that I found online. Just make sure to check the pin configuration to ensure compatibility.

Thanks for the tip. I will make sure to double-check the specifications before I purchase anything. It’s good to know that others have dealt with this.
@Davin
Absolutely, it can be tricky, but as long as you confirm the details, it should work out fine.
If you’re handy, you could splice the wires together. Just make sure to insulate everything properly afterward so that it remains safe and functional.

I might consider that as a last resort. I want to do things right without creating any issues. Thanks for the suggestion.
@Davin
Of course, just take your time and make sure everything is secure. A good connection will make all the difference.
What’s the make and model of your car? Sometimes forums for specific makes can have the exact info you need, including wiring diagrams.

It’s a Chevy, but I haven’t checked specific forums yet. I will look into that as well. It’s always better to gather as much information as possible.
@Davin
Definitely. Those forums can be a treasure trove of information from people who have gone through similar situations.
