Suburban vs Tahoe

My husband has a bad back, so long car trips are tough for him. However, in a few months, we need to take a 12-hour road trip each way. He’ll likely be either driving or in the front passenger seat. Last year, we rented a Suburban but didn’t drive it for long. He found it quite comfortable.

My question is: does anyone know if there’s a significant difference in ride comfort between the Tahoe and the Suburban on long trips? We don’t need the extra space of the Suburban, just focusing on comfort. Since I haven’t driven a Tahoe, I’m unsure if the ride or seats are noticeably different.

A Suburban is essentially an extended version of a Tahoe.

If you want a smooth ride, choose an Escalade.

You won’t see much difference! As far as I recall, the front seats and footwells offer the same amount of space in both Tahoes and Suburbans, and the Tahoe typically has less than an inch difference in the second row. For someone who mostly sits in the front, it should feel very similar

I suspected that might be the case, but I’ve never been in a Tahoe. Thanks for confirming.

I’ll need to put in a lot of effort to make that happen.
