I’m really interested in the Chevy Malibu, but I’ve heard some not-so-great things about the CVT. What’s your experience with it? Is it similar to the Honda or Nissan ones?
I have a 2022 Malibu, and honestly, I hate the CVT. It just feels off and doesn’t perform well.
Really? Wow, that’s a bummer to hear. I might consider looking at the Sonata or Kia K5 now instead.
It’s a nice car overall, even if the design is a bit older. The CVT is pretty average; most people wouldn’t really notice a difference compared to a 6 or 8-speed.
I prefer a regular transmission over a CVT too, but honestly, I don’t find them that bad. Just depends on what you’re used to.
I had a Malibu with a CVT, and while it took some getting used to, it was reliable for me. Just test drive it and see how you feel!

Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely take one for a spin before deciding.
