I’m looking for some help with my 2019 Chevy Colorado. I’ve been noticing some shuttering when driving at low speeds for about two years now, and I’m not too confident in what the dealer is suggesting. I took it to ‘Dealer A’ last October, and they flushed the transmission, which helped for a few months, but the shuttering came back. Recently, I went to ‘Dealer B’ since I moved, and they want to flush and reprogram the transmission again. This feels like a repeat of what was just done. My extended warranty runs out at 72k miles, and I’d really like to get this sorted before then. Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated. Thanks!
That sounds frustrating. My guess is that it might need a new torque converter instead of just a flush. Have you asked them about that?
I had a similar issue with my truck. Flushing the transmission didn’t fix it for me either. I ended up needing a new unit altogether.

Yeah, I think getting a second opinion from another mechanic could help. Sometimes they miss the bigger issues.
I totally get wanting to fix this before your warranty runs out. You might want to get another opinion just to be safe.

Good idea. It never hurts to have another set of eyes on the issue. Plus, you can compare their suggestions.
Maybe check if there’s a service bulletin on this issue? Sometimes manufacturers have fixes that aren’t widely publicized.

That’s a solid point. I’ve found useful info that way before. Definitely worth a shot!
I hope you get it sorted soon. Transmission issues can be such a pain. Keep us updated on what you decide to do!

Will do! I’ll check into the torque converter and see what Dealer B says next. Thanks for the support!
