What do I do with my 2021 Blazer 2LT?

I just got this 2021 Blazer 2LT, and I’m only three days in with 27,200 miles… it’s already acting up. I don’t even know where to start. Anyone else had issues like this? What should I check first? I appreciate any advice.

First thing I’d say is to take it to the dealer. Hopefully, it’s still under warranty. Could be why it was traded in though… :grimacing:

Praying it’s not something major :grimacing:

Sounds like it might be a bad bank 2 exhaust camshaft VVT solenoid. I’d check the oil levels first, then look into the commanded vs. actual cam angle difference. It could be the actuator, but that’s less common.

@Ariel
Exactly! I had the same issue with my Honda. Low oil levels were messing with the solenoids, throwing codes.

Super easy fix. I got mine off Amazon for like $50. This happens a lot with these models—fixed it on a Traverse and Equinox too.

Isn’t this still under warranty? That would be the first thing I’d check.

Well, you bought a used car… get ready for some fun surprises. :sweat_smile:

I think you replied to the wrong guy. :thinking:

I just didn’t expect to deal with this so soon after getting a new car… super frustrating.

Yeah, but that’s exactly what the warranty is for. You should definitely use it.

I had a similar code pop up on an older car. Turned out I had gone too long without an oil change, which messed up the cam position sensor. Once I changed the oil and replaced the sensor, it was all good. Maybe the previous owner didn’t maintain it well?

@Hadley
Good tip, thanks! I’ll check that out.

This is why I stopped buying new cars. They’re all junk these days.

:joy: Yeah, feeling that right now.
