What is this connected device located front-right

Equinox 2016, bottom front-right, in the opening giving on the bottom part of the radiator, 2 wires.

Ambient air temp sensor.

Whaaa! That was fast! Thanks, guy! So, being me, the next step is to disconnect it and see what temperature is displayed!!

It may cause a check engine light or at a minimum it’ll either say “–” “-32” or “-40”

When I disconnect mine, it says OC (open circuit)

Could tell me how exactly did you get to it, did you have to take off the bumper?

nope, nothing at all, just bending my knees and looked at it. I learned it is the ambiant temp sensor.

whether a Chevy Service Technician reads this, I’m wondering whether certain shops are unable to address software issues ('20 Sonic RS), necessitating a visit from a Chevy expert? Or maybe a another Chevy Svc shop can handle the repair?

When I turn off the car and open the driver’s door, the RAP continues for a minute (radio/sxm still on), rather of shutting off when the door is opened. I’m told “updates installed,” but not “resetting.”
