Hey guys, I’ve got a 2014 Chevy Cruze and can’t figure out this part. The mount is cracked and leaking, and after I changed the oil and filter, my girlfriend said she saw a spark under the hood. So, I figured I should check it out. This is all I found. Any help would be appreciated.
That looks like the secondary air injection check valve. GM part number is #55583592. It’s kinda pricey though, MSRP is around $289.74.

Wow, that’s a bummer. What’s the gasket part number?
@Greer
The gasket is GM part #55567473, and it’s only about $7.39.
Did you end up getting it fixed?

Yeah, just went to Chevy and got the part myself!

Nice! Hope it solves the issue.
Looks like that valve is super important. If it’s leaking, you should definitely replace it.

I noticed an air bubble coming out when I turned the engine over. Should I replace it if there’s no engine light on?
@Zeke
Yeah, better safe than sorry. That could lead to bigger issues later on.
If you saw a spark, it might be a good idea to get it checked out ASAP.
