Why is this light blinking

I have a 2017 Chevy Malibu and I’ve never seen this light blink before. Does anyone know why this is happening? I’m a bit confused and would appreciate any insights or advice.

Have you noticed any issues with your blend doors not working, like if the selector is stuck on defrost or if one side is hot while the other is cold? Or maybe your A/C compressor is acting up? There is a chance it is just an LED going out, but these switches typically blink when there is an issue with the HVAC. I would recommend scanning the vehicle to see if any HVAC specific codes come up.

It might also be worth checking the owner’s manual. Sometimes those lights have specific meanings that are detailed there. Could save you some time and worry.

If it is related to the HVAC system, it could be something as simple as a blown fuse or a faulty switch. Have you checked those out?

Sometimes when the weather changes, it can affect the electronics in the car. Have you had any extreme weather lately?

Just remember, if the light keeps blinking and you feel something is off while driving, it might be best to get it checked out by a professional. Better safe than sorry.
