I just started my Blazer this morning and got a big surprise - a scary “Service ESC” light on the dashboard. Uh oh. I looked through the manual, but it wasn’t super clear.
Anyone else out there driven a Chevy Blazer with this warning light? What does it mean? Is it safe to drive? Should I schedule a service appointment right away? Hoping it’s nothing major, but any advice from fellow Blazer drivers would be a lifesaver…

I’m sorry to hear you’re having an issue with the “Service ESC” light on your Chevy Blazer. Based on my research, this warning light typically indicates a problem with the vehicle’s electronic stability control (ESC) system. The ESC system is responsible for helping maintain control and stability, especially in slippery conditions. When the “Service ESC” light illuminates, it means the system has detected a malfunction and needs to be checked by a professional. This could be caused by a variety of issues, such as a faulty sensor, low fluid levels, or a problem with the ESC module itself. I would recommend taking your Blazer to a Chevy dealership or certified mechanic as soon as possible to have the problem diagnosed and repaired. Continuing to drive with the “Service ESC” light on could compromise your vehicle’s handling and safety. They’ll be able to run diagnostics, identify the root cause, and get your Blazer’s stability control system back in working order. Don’t ignore this warning light - addressing it promptly is important for your driving safety.
