That car is in showroom condition. KEEP THAT THING IN THE GARAGE!
@AlexJohnson An older lady owned it but she hasn’t been able to drive in awhile. The tags on the plate were from 2021. Les Schwab also told me 3 of the tires were from 2007 lol
You might want to update the tires. A few years ago, I found a 2003 avalanche z66 for 12.5k with approximately 11.5k miles on it (again from an old person) and original dry rot tires, one of which blew out on the interstate and messed up my driver’s side front fender.
Yes, the tires are cooked, even though they don’t indicate it. Their integrity will decrease considerably more quickly. But, gosh, I agree—keep it mint. If I woke up in your shoes, I wouldn’t make it a daily driver just yet; instead, I’d go over it with a fine tooth comb and keep it garaged. Many states allow you to purchase a historic license plate for vehicles 25 years or older, which may result in lower insurance rates if registered that way. Replace the serpentine belt, as it will not show evident degeneration. Very great!
However, this is the only way I can go to work. I replaced the fuel filter and removed the old gas. Changed the oil and coolant.
Hell yeah! The only that could have made it a better deal was a zq8 package but that’s not that big a deal.
@Lucas Reply: It’s also 2WD and I live in a place where it snows so also a downside @EmilyDavis
A couple sand bags and some tire chains and you’ll be all good.
Or buy a snow beater. lol @Lucas
I’ll just find myself a BBW to ride around in the back while I drive @EmilyDavis
@Lucas And she can help keep you warm!
@EmilyDavis I can finally be little spoon
Assuming it doesn’t have odometer fraud, it’s a solid buy.
@Harper I had no idea that was a thing. Hopefully, the elderly 70-year-old lady did not swindle me lol.
YouTube VW old lady car for sale @Lucas
I bought one in poor condition from a tow yard for $450 and drove it for 5 years and 60k miles. It had a lot of issues, but for the price, it was an excellent truck. 2WD, yet surprisingly capable off-road. Only sold because the mpg was very low.
Yeah, my hybrid’s engine blew up, so I bought this for the time being. I do see the difference in mpg lol.
The 4.3 is tough and the platform is easy to work on. Problems are pretty easily dealt with.
Someone asked me why I don’t get a new truck and it’s for the same reason. My 2009 ram 4.7 doesn’t have MDS, is easy to work on, and parts are everywhere.
@Lagon The power of a 4 cylinder with the gas mileage of a V8 but it’ll run with proper maintenance for ever……!
If there’s no corrosion, frames are good, suspension is good, engine, transmission, and transfer case are okay, brakes are decent, it’s a bargain.
